After the horse-assisted grazing muzzle destruction debacle, Ziggy has gone in with my livery mate's two mares. Bella is a 13 yo very assertive laminitic cob who is stabled in the shelter during the day, and she shares with her daughter Izzy who is a flirtatious 3 yo.
When I put him in today Ziggy ignored Izzy completely, ran up the paddock to the shelter to pay his respects to Bella, rolled like a fiend in the only patch of mud (his field has no mud at present) and settled down to the sparse grazing.
I hope he will be settled and chilled and lose some weight. The only thing is if he gives me trouble leaving the mares - we'll see.
