Does anyone know what 4x4's can legal tow the lightest version of these trailers?
Also how do you deplate a trailer to tow one horse of 520kgs?
Sorry I'm confused:confused:
Thanks Mel x

Oh god thats a can of worms you are opening there, as I know from experience on NR that there are two trains of thought on towing.

The first that your car must be able to tow the full laden weight of the trailer.
IE equik teck trailer laden weight is 2000Kg (new Equik Trek M) So the cars gross weight must wieght 20 % more then this.

Kia senerto gross weight is 2800kg well within the above guidlines and I have pulled my lad the other day didn't even notice the trailer on the back when empty and felt really secure then big C was in it.

OR your cars TOW capilabity must be more then the unladen weight of the trailer your are pulling plus horsse and tack etc

Not sure where this would stand if you where pulled over.

it is more to do with when you brake the car must not be able to be pushed forward with the weight of the trailer plus horse etc
