Do I have talent?

Thanks, does anyone plan on riding in the grand national in the future?

Now that would be my idea of a nightmare!! However I'd love to take my ex-racer round a racetrack (no jumps involved) and just let him go. I wouldn't have to worry about stopping him, all I'd do is sit there and enjoy the ride until he got tired! Alas I doubt very much whether I actually will be able to, as he is now a 19yr old ex-racehorse and rather arthriticy - so not sure he'd actually make it round one lap :o

Oooh No, not the Grand National ~ far too frightening!

I'm still dreaming of the day I can ride a decent dressage test, without looking like a bag of spuds on top of an horse that isn't playing up!

Maz, everyone is good at something. Whatever it is you want to achieve, go for it !! :D

Not the Grand National, no. :) My dream is to get placed in an able bodied dressage test. That might remain a dream, though - my pony does not think much of dressage and I would not be willing to give her up for a dressage horse.

Yes it truly is i'm only young so i have plenty of time to practise when i was 2 years old i started riding and my Grandad [who sadly pasted away when i think i was seven] Always used to watch the horse racing it was so inspiring to me!!:)

I dreamed of being National Velvet .... :p

Sadly reality hit as I hit my 40's and realised how HUGE those fences really are!

Go for it Maz - reach for the stars and don't let anyone stop your dreams :)

I am so glad you posted that comment. I really love the idea of that.
I want to get a picture of my dreamboat and put that comment with it and post it on the door of my fridge. May I put your name "maz:)" with it, please? To remind me about getting on with my life.
