DNA testing for dogs

Anyone ever had it done?

I am interested in finding out Barneys breeding - no specific reason as he is a crossbreed rescue dog. Its a tad pricey but that's ok really, just interested to hear if anyone else has had it done?

I have another DNA kit for my lurcher (fab Christmas present) - and you have reminded me to get it underway.

Really, really good but be careful what you wish for the "Yorkshire terrier" bit in BeAnne Duvet's DNA was a teensy weensy bit of a shock! I am learning to live with it!

I do notice that it is basically an American test so has patchy results on European dogs (such as Greek or Romanian rescues) and breeds which are very UK-specific like Lakeland Terriers.
