I have had mixed responses from people on my yard/friends etc whose brains I have picked regarding Louise's weight. Personally, I think she is quite overweight and I would like to see her a good bit lighter. I have had responses from "she's fine, she's always going to be chunky" to "she could do with losing a bit", but there's only me seems to think she actually has a lot to lose! I weight taped her yesterday at 414kg - no idea how accurate the weightape is but personally I thought it was having a laugh! Never mind, it will at least give me something to gauge weight loss, even if it not very accurate. Pics taken yesterday, she is a Welsh C x D, 14.1hh, 7 years old. She is being worked 3 or 4 times a week either lungeing or a good 30 minute schooling session (in trot and canter) and I don't think that I can feasibly work her any harder in the condition she is and also time/rider constraints. She is living out 24/7 in about 2.5 acres of reasonable, but not fantastic, grazing with three other horses and (obviously) recieves no feed. As of today she will be muzzled and fed a feed balancer.
This is her back fat, taken from above:

Another neck/back gutter shot:
Rump shot, the shine on her (just bathed!) coat actually means you can't see the gutter in her back, but you can see it in pic 3:
