I am interested in clicker training my horse. Can anyone recommend a good starting book, or is there a starter "pack" I can buy? ie book/clicker/treatbag
Any suggestions welcome. Thanks
My friend likes Ben Hart he's got a book and some ebooks which are really good http://www.hartshorsemanship.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=controller.viewPageShop There was a poster on here who had a link to a book about training your horse or something in their sig which was really good. I've loaned it to a friend so I can't remember the exact title but it was something like knowing horses or know your horse.
Sharon has registered as a member here, so you never know, if you have questions, you could ask and she might answer She also has an interesting and helpful website and blog.
I like it because a lot of people are interested in NH approachs, Sharon manages to show how you can achieve the same ends while both you and your horse enjoy the trip
I've used Alex Kurland's books, DVDs and go to her clinics, but to get started I'd probably prefer Sharon's book. If you get right into it, Alex is probably the next step, purely for all the resources she has available (and the occasional clinic in the UK). Everything from helping overcome fear and phobias in horses to fairly advanced dressage training!
