Hello there - on Sunday a poor little cat appeared in my barn - she is very underweight, she's deaf and her eyesight is extremely diminished. One eye has a cataract and the other is not healthy, although she can see something as she came up to me and circled around my legs meowing when I arrived in the barn.
Anyway, I've been in touch with the Cats Protection League and tomorrow I'm taking her to the vets (earliest they could get her in). I would really like to keep her but I'm very worried about how practical this is as I live on a road (not a busy one). But being deaf and at least 50% blind/
Is there an operation for removal of cataracts in cats? If so is it very expensive and how successful is it? Thanks,
