So I just cantered for the first time in months, on a riding school horse. I cantered like a total beginner - legs and arms all over the place, leaning forward, big pony club kick - but sort of got it together and did a better one by the end of the lesson. My right buttock now really stings, ha! But after months of walking, tense and waiting for my horse to take off, it's quite a relief to just, well, go for it! Feeling quite pleased with myself now. Maybe I can get back into this riding malarkey after all.

I also met the lovely OBC but that's another story...

Woohoo, go you! It's good that you're getting your confidence levels back up again. For what it's worth, I always canter like a total beginner in the school - out hacking I'm happy, but for some reason the pressure to get it right in the school is just too much and I go to pieces!

Looking forward to the 'other story' - is it on it's way?
