Can you jump in an exercise sheet?

I have just bought Katey an exercise sheet and I just wondered if you can jump in them?

I have always been told to take them of as there is a risk of them getting caught on the jump.

I can't figure out why you would. I was always led to believe that exercise sheets are for keeping the horse warm at the beginning and end of rides, before and after you've got them warm with work. I wouldn't class jumping as a warm-up or cool down exercise, so I don't know why the sheet would still be one then.

only reason i could see would be maybe if it was raining and its a waterproof one?

I have done before but I wouldn't reccomend it - rubs the horse's bum a lot and some don't like it.
