I decided to give Cherie a little exercise in the round pen yesterday. I stared off with a wee bit of lunging and then decided I was a bit bored with that so thought I would try a bit of loose schooling.
I don't know a great deal about NHM or join up etc, only snippets I have seen so was not sure what to do.
I sent her away by opening my arms and lightly flapping the coiled lunge line.
She went away well and after about three laps I got the licking and chewing, so stood still and turned away from her and she came in like a treat.
I sent her away again after some patting etc. I didn't know how to get her to turn in the other direction, (I couldn't remember that bit) so I stood in the middle scratching my head a bit and wondering, she must have read my mind because she very obligingly turned around and went the other way:giggle: Same thing three or four laps, licking an chewing, turned away and she came in again and followed me a few steps, what a sweetie!:smile:
I would like to see what else we can achieve.
What are the best books, DVD's you can recommend for easy clear instructions?
