Just had a call from the vet to give me the results from Belle's blood test, she's 'well within normal range' so nothing underlying causing the issue.
On one level I'm hugely relieved, but the flip side of that is it would seem that the new yard grass is jus way to rich for her, having said that it has been an exceptional year for grass growth so even if we hadn't moved I'm guessing we would still have had problems.

Glad Belle got the all clear. :D I do think that lami has been a huge issue this year because of the weather and the resulting grass growth.

For us we have rock hard ground, the rain just isn't doing anything.
The shod horses here get bruised soles, abscesses, lost shoes.

Ginger has had two abscesses's this year he has never had any in the years I have owned him our fields aren't stoney but the paths and routes are. They have not lost any shoes at all.

phew that's a relief, the grass is awful for natives this year, but the TBs on the yard have never looked better.
Same at my yard. my boys look amazing at the moment the natives are looking .... show condition
