so i have 2 full sisters here that i bought last october (shetlands). Both substantial full up, island bred ponies.. one is 5, the other 6. Both bought direct from the stud and done the same - been in a field , shown as foals but that was it.
It just shows how different they can be; Jess is nervous to the point of being dangerous at times. Very hard to catch, very reactive to the point of having thrown herself through a stable door rather than let me put a headcollar on. Panics very easily, no way i could get a measuring stick near her, wash her tail or anything like that. JJ on the other hand , I backed this morning and she didnt bat an eyelid. I had MiniCA on her this afternoon the leadrein and you could just tell she loved every minute. She literally didn’t bat an eyelid at a thing.
