Tobes is a real thug most of the time. He has times when he is loving, but times when he really is an absolute monkey and has bitten friend twice when in a bad mood with her. For what, I am not sure, although to date, he has never bitten me.

Was chatting to lady in village tonight who has an autistic daughter and after chatting to her for ages she said she was going to take her small daughter to an RDA centre as she 'loves to stroke your horse and does for ages'. I said, 'the grey' and she said yes. Tobes is extremely nosy and always up for a chat.

I was horrified and said 'is he alright with her?' Oh yes, she said in a very surprised tone - 'why?' So I said, he an be a real git at times and it is not unknown for him to turn his bottom on people, and he has bitten people.

Clearly, he understands that little girl is vulnerable and is really nice with her. Just gobsmacks me sometimes that they have that depth of understanding.

Lol, what does this say about your friend who Toby chooses to nip?!
Yep, I think horses are amazing. They have a way of just being, that makes the stress disappear whenever you are near them. Unfortunately they cause alot of stress as well on many occasions, but we wouldn't be without them would we?!

Yes they truly are amazing aren't they? And far more genuine than most people are when it comes to emotions.

i think horses can see you in a way we will never be able to. i worked at a yard once someone asked me to bring a horse in which i did, they expected me to come back empty handed, i didnt! the horse was a psg and usually only lets owner bring him in.

Years ago when I was working in a Hospital situation with people with
learning difficulties and I was working with people who exhibit challenging behaviour, I kept my TB just down the Road from the Hospital.

Was out on her one day when a few from my Unit were being taken to the local shop and one of them recognised me and waved, my Mare TOTALLY
freaked, refused point blank to go past them and I ended up having to go over to the other side of the Road..........

She would NEVER go past any of the Hospital 'residents' from then on, EVER, she could just 'sense them'

It's very strange - dogs are the same. Pat dog therapy os popular and neighbours dog is fantastic for it - except she went to a specialist dementia home, it really dotresswd her - throwing herslef on the floor, baking, running about. Bizarre.

Silver is fab with my older relatives, very sensitive - but rascal doesn't pick up on that. Having said that he is much better with little children
