I've started watching it as I've been recording it from 11am - I ws busy galloping around the countryside on Pete earlier We popped a log but nowhere near as big as any on that course! I've just seen Tina Cook & Oliver Townend go round on their first horses. Tina Cook was awesome
I walked it with Zara Tindall yesterday! (Really. She's lovely.) It looked absolutely terrifying. How any horse is fit enough to jump that in under 12 minutes is beyond me.
I went to interview William Fox Pitt for Horse & Countryside and was invited by the Musto PRs to join Zara on the course walk afterwards. It wasn't me who jinxed it for her though!
I got to watch it too such a relaxing couple of hours - a rare treat for me living in France as its never on the channels available to us
Zara did thro her dolly though didn't she

I felt for her though - she's one of the main attractions and she knows everyone will be watching her, and there's nothing more embarrassing than falling off in the water! Plus I know she was desperate just to get a good clear out of High Kingdom. She said when we were walking the course and asked how she thought they'd do, 'he's as good as he's ever felt, but he is what he is.' I can understand how frustrated she felt.
I should be feminist and root for the brilliant women but I fell for that horse Ballaghmor Class. And have liked Oliver Townend too ever since his air jacket fall! Hadnt expected him to win as the brilliant German was there. And when he got a run out, he didnt lose his temper like Zara did.
I can understand Zara's frustration with herself. The horse jumped the jump and pecked on landing because she didn't have him at take off. I guess she was mad at herself for rider error.
I thought Olly's young grey was a total star! Not bad for a newbie horse.
