Hi, I'm really new to this, so hope I get this right !!
We have a highland pony who has sweet itch, he has a boett rug which has really helped his itching, but my problem is that the rug has started to rub him in various places, the top of his front legs, in between his font legs and across his mane ! GRRRR
Being a highland he has a lovely long mane, but it now has a section missing. I contacted the company I got the rug from and they have advised me to attach fleece to the rug in the places it's rubbing which I'm going to try tomorrow, but I don't know what to do about his mane, does anyone have any suggestions for a good hood or neck that won't make him too warm but will prevent rubbing, that can be worn under his boett. Also it can't come over his face and ears !!
