I have a six year odl fell pony. She is unclipped and has a lovely thick winter coat, except for one bald patch on her hind quarters !!!
She is a bright bay, but the hair around this bald patch is black. This patch seems to be getting bigger
The skin underneath is normal no scabs, flakiness etc.
The bals area isn't anywhere that a rug can be rubbing, and I haven't seen her biting at herself or rubbing against a wall.
Any ideas? Would feel daft calling a vet out as in every other way she is fine.
By the way, she is only fed on haylage apples and a couple of carrots. Very good doer.
