i know at one point that bits with more than one metal in the mouth piece were not allowed (as i was considering getting an eggbutt snaffle with copper rollers as i couldn't find an copper eggbutt/dee ring snaffle). i didn't get the copper roller bit as it wasn't dressage legal (eventually got hold of a full copper eggbutt). i vaguely remember hearing the rules had changed (partly due to the myler bits which have copper inlays). i have a full cheek snaffle with copper roller -similar to this but its not a ball
