Jake is taking Marlie and Peaches to Bury farm tomoz to do Intro B dressage. I want to have the horses plaited but they live out.

Ideas please on turn out for our living out horses. They are rugged.

I will plait tonight but have a feeling they may be gone in the morning. I used to plait the night before when had horses that lived in but never those that are out.

You mean turn out for the ring? (Sorry, long morning already)

I plait the night before if I have far to go and I use "snuggy hood" type thing which makes him look like batman. This smooths his coat to gleaming shine and protects his plaited mane. You can even turn him out and yes your hood may be muddy but the plaits will still be there. Make sure you turn him out with another hardy rug on top with a neck is the best option.

Ok my disclaimer is that if he likes to rub his mane on posts and other plait-ruining implements!

Good luck in test!
