A bit of an anticlimax really. I got him in, gave him a net of haylage, got my biggest numnah (a huge square thing) and the surcingle. Flapped the numnah about, put it on his back. Put on the surcingle. Did it up. Undid it. Dropped it, flapped it. Took it all off and put it on again. Draped the bits of the surcingle over different parts of the pony.

Charlie sez, "You can do what you damn like as long as I have my haylage net."

So, a non event.

There is also video evidence but I thought you would prefer this little clip of Charlie saying hello

Such a good boy, and it’s always a confidence boost for us when the work done before pays off when they’re so not bovvered ?

Yay! That's amazing ? Well done you for giving him such a good start for it to be a non-event ??

best way to do it, not make it a big deal. Once Suze got confident, i did a lot like that with her, just throw a numnah over her leave her draped with stuff. First time i did girths up she never bothered. She didn't react at all when i sat on her the first time. Or when i scrambled off.
