Hi all
I haven't been on here too much recently so I thought I'd do a little update (plus it's a good excuse to share some piccies of Shads!)
Haven't been able to ride as much as I would have liked over the past month or so due to bad weather and Christmas etc. This resulted in Shads becoming a bit :bomb: but more or less back to normal now!
We went on a riding club social ride just after Christmas which was fun! There were about 25 of us so the horses were a bit loopy, but it was good to blow the cobwebs out a bit! We were out for almost 4 hours in the end and lots of fast canters & a couple of short gallops. I was a bit worried that Shads wasn't going to be fit enough, but he was still jogging along on the way home and hardly broke a sweat so that was good.
Back to regular lessons again now. He's really starting to work in a nice outline now. I purchased a Myler bit in November which has really helped him accept the contact.
Really looking forward to the summer shows and doing some more dressage comps!
Anyway, enough of my rambling Here are the piccies!
