And hes finally backed .... tonight Skye was being very brave and got on Foxheys Summer Storm for the very first time aged 6.... we like to take the slowly.... he was a complete superstar... took everything in his stride and walked round the school with skye on his back for approx 20 mins once she was sat on him :) Hes the last of the babies to be backed.... aww cannot believe it was 6 years ago I first saw him galloping about in the massive field in the Peak District..... and just had to have him... proud mummy moment today for both of them:)

Hes been in the field two/three months with basic handling only so busy this year, What with moving... then we got behind with ragworting. SO tonight just bits hinm and Skye says 'tonights the night' ..... we were all 'are you sure Skye hes not hand much handling for months'... so she leaned over him about 6 times from both sides. then sat on him leaning down.... got off.... sat on him leaning down, slowly sat up and went for a 20 min stop start walk with him around the school. Summer Storm didnt protest once... he was so fabulous bless him :)

He looks so bothered, not! brilliant :D there is something to be said for leaving things a little longer
we were going to back him at 5 but wanted Jess to have some fun on Lunan out and about campeteting... but in the end he hasnt took any harm being backed later :D He is now ready to begin his working life want him to do a bit of everything dressage, showing and jumping, so an all rounder
