17hh horse travelling

Would my horsebox which is 10ft tall inside be suitable for a 17hh? Buddy is 16hh

Depends on the horse. How much headroom does Buddy have? I'd use that as a starting point and then consider not only the height of the 17hher but also it's natural carriage and how quietly it travels.

I would say yes, the big ifors are meant to take 17hh and they’re 7’6” inside

Buddy managed to cut himself on the way to Berwickshire show but generally he has lots of clearance and travels very well and we modified the interior so that the partition is not in the middle but 2/3 to the right so it is a huge space for him.

A couple of horses i have looked at are 16'3 to 17hh

horse box builder confirmed that they have had 17'1 in them it's around 8ft just measured it our stall is also bigger as we moved the partition to the right to travel just one so buddy has more room

I have a 511. It says it is 9 feet. Robin is 16.2 and this is him in it

Yes you are right. I didn’t look carefully enough and just saw overall height. Apologies.
