Are they quinces?I am going to answer my own question.
I have often wondered how previous humans discovered whether a fruit, plant or animal was safe to touch, eat, make use of.
I believe it's possibly natural selection, someone got it wrong and everyone else learnt not to eat it!!
Fast forward to the age of the internet and now AI, I still think it's going to be natural selection but it will be because Google got it wrong while it's still learning!!
What fruit do you people think this is and I can share with you what Google thinks it is AND whether I wanted to know when it was safe to eat. No, I want to know you've got it right first
Now I know you can't necessary believe everything you read in books either, but the chances are they were written by someone with knowledge and backed up with proof.
