I would let it go. It will just make your relationship with the permanent vets tricky. Count yourself lucky you have a) vets and b) they will come out.

Wise words. Don’t pick a fight with vets if you don’t have many in your area.
Equine first aid and proper wound treatment and bandaging of wounds was always priority when I was younger. I was taught that before many other things I found more fun. Then again I put in the work when I was working at yards as a young girl then as an older teen.
If you are unable to bandage a wound correctly then antagonising the people doing it for you wouldn’t be a wise move and would hinder your horses recovery more.
Well my first attempt at multiple layers of bandaging a partial success. first pad ruined as she moved before i got the next layer on, so had to start again. got the pad on with soft bandage, then the gamgee, then the tubular and got it taped. Stable bandage two attempts and both times the closure on the inside so stuff that, made a twist and closed it and then taped it. As she got the stable bandage off the day before, put the snuggy hood legging on top.

Vet visited, pleased with wound, no pain, swelling down, leave bandages off and just use the equaide, start walking her in hand twice a day x 10 minutes and try at night to leave her on whole yard now that she is more mobile. Check again next Friday and see where we are then. Puffiness in leg gone down, seems much improved from Tuesday
someone has been liberated. The wound has bled twice this week so discontinued the equaide mask and put on another type of bandage which hopefully will stay on. she has been very footy since trimmed, vet out this morning, the Scoot boots are rubbish, and the cavello ones are rubbing as she has had them on all day. So she is now out. Vet wants her to have a full set of shoes then see if we can transition to barefoot again, as she wants her to work and build up muscle. So trying to get the farrier. I suspect the field will be trashed as she was SO excited.
An extremely bouncy girl, Tintin had to be removed for his own safety till she calmed down. I opened all the gates and stable doors with dinners in before i went to get her, so that if she was vertical i could let her go if safer. She was still bucking and bouncing when i went in, but to my surprise, she was caught and we plodded through the mud calmly till i put her in her stable with dinner. Farrier coming next week, so will get my friend over to start her off again once she has a a week turnout to decompress. Will restore all the fencing around the track and she can have that as it will keep her going up and down hill. She needs to build up muscle and strength again. She was utterly hobbling with her feet, walking so much better in the field, pity that it is probably impossible to leave her out 24.7
