What a day with poodles. Kim not well, taken to vet, urinary tract infection, antibiotics. She wasn't peeing ok and was very lethargic and dull. Hopefully better tomorrow.

And Harry almost gave me a heart attack tonight. We let him and Kim out for a comfort break, she came in, called for him, nothing. Went out with a torch, not at the pond nowhere, all around the garden getting more and more panic stricken, no gates open but no poodle. Called OH and we both going round getting more and more frantic. Went into the little paddock and the torch picked out a white body flat out on the field. Thought he was dead. I had heard a noise, badger or fox, just before. Got close to him, he got up and limped off. Got him in, had been licking his paws. Can't find any wounds but bathed them anyway. No idea what happened but my heart is just about back to normal and will need more hair dye to cover the grey hairs.

Bloody hell, little so and so! There’s no need to be giving you frights like that. Vibes for Kim to feel better quickly

she will be fine, no crystals in the urine, she is going on monday for massage/therapy/laser, Harry for Hydro and in Novmber another full work up to see how they are moving etc. Harry scared me rigid last night, first of all how do you lose your dog in your own garden.....and then him flat out as if dead, like the old horse trick to terrify owners.

There seems to be disturbance on the other side of garden, something digging up the gravel and biting off the bottom of the newly painted gate in the wall, so probably a badger around, but whether that is from last night or earlier don't know. Someone on standard poodle facebook said "Sometimes they can just become petrified for whatever reason and almost be lifeless" which kind of fits the bill if he ran into a part of the garden and saw a badger.

Kim better today, she had a lovely walk yesterday meeting and greeting everyone and has now eaten Harry's breakfast as well as her own.....so she is feeling better. Took Harry out on the lead at night near the paddock where i found him, he wasn't scared, so he seems fine too. Still no idea what happened but at least both seem to be none the worse. Kim has another 10 days of antibiotics to go but she was peeing ok yesterday, before that she was crouching but nothing being dispensed, she tends to be a girl who goes whoosh.....
