Looking for a friend.......

15.3 to 16.1
Mare
Between 8 and 13
Needs to be excellent traveller in a trailer
Wanted for prelim eventing.
Must be good hacking too
Preferably ISH...no TB’s or warmbloods
She would love a grey!!
Reasonable travel distance from North West.
Budget ........well she started looking at £2k and is now up to £9k!!
See what you can find for her

Hahaha absolutely, she does live in a dreamworld. Think she’s come down to earth with a bump now she’s starting looking properly.

What's prelim eventing? It's normally be80t, be90,be100, novice, inter?

Haha for £2k I'd say she'd fine it next door Pegasus, £9k much more realistic value although I'd expect she may have to go over depending on how much talent she wants and how easy.

There’s a good mare on our yard, did it’s first BE Novice at the end of the season. She will hack out but you have to be confident as she can be nappy (I still don’t understand why she’ll take you round a xc course with all the distractions and still be wary of the allotment down the road from where she lives) but I think she’s priced at more than £9k. Easiest horse in the world to do though, but although she’s had a few viewings no one seems to be able to ride her well enough. Shame cos she goes really well for her current rider (my RI). It’s very complicated this searching for a horse that ticks all the boxes isn’t it?

No idea what prelim eventing is.
Sorry had a mad moment meant to be intermmediate

I’ve been having a look for her, seen a couple that look ok but the ones that look perfect are over £20k. No way could she afford that!!!

I think she’ll end up with a youngster that she will have to bring on, which is just what she didn’t want.

Eventing is not my scene at all, I am finding it very interesting looking at all these super horses that cost more money than I earn in a year!

At inter she will really struggle for £9k, you'd get a good be100 horse who can also do other things and sensible for that. If they've got a good consistent record at novice and be very very easy and a nice person I'd expect to pay £10k-£20k depending on how nice they are/how easy. You can of course pick up cheaper but will have the odd quirk.

She has finally realised that she can’t get the horse she wants for less than about £20k.

She saw one advertised at £4K, had done BE 90, advert read really nice, exactly what she wanted apart from the bit at the end that said it had kissing spine!!!

I think she has rung about a couple advertised at £6k that have done BE 90, so has now accepted that she will have to aim lower.....
