I have a few some of mine the original band aid song ( not any of the subsequent versions). Greg Lake - I believe in Father Christmas, and Wham - Last Christmas and Fairytale of New York :)

I quite like Marshmallow World (there is a girl called Francesca Battistelli who does a cover of it, it's just a happy wee song). Then there is Baby, It's Cold Outside, I liked Idina Menzel's cover of that and the Pogues Fairytale of New York. I have had to sing both with drunken pub-goers at karaoke which sort of takes the sparkle off them but sometimes you get a good singer and everyone in the pub joins in and has a good time. One I usually sing at the end of my karaoke set is Santa Baby... people seem to enjoy that. The Waitresses Christmas Wrapping is another good one I just like to listen to, just reminds me of some good Christmas moments. To be honest, there are a lot of Christmas songs I like, I just dislike hearing them well before Christmas, I'm not ready to hear them until about a week before Christmas!

Oh I like that waitresses song , someone at worked requested last week at the Xmas party & I wasn't familiar with it until I actually heard it & realised I did know it. I also love East 17 - stay another day.

Used to absolutely despise Fairytale of New York but it has grown on me over the years and now it's up high on my list. Also Driving home for Christmas, Last Christmas and the more traditional Carol of the Bells, Oh Holy Night and Troika

Didn't Kylie do a version of Santa baby?

My current Christmas song on the brain is O holy night - Il Divo. I also have a strange affection for the in
-Credible version of All I want for Christmas in the Love Actually film.

Clearly on that basis I am a complete old fogey...and proud of it!!

I prefer traditional carols and stuff sung by proper choirs because I am an intellectual snob, but I do have a soft spot for Walking In The Air.

Not just you, Jane.... I love to decorate my tree listening to carols from Kings.... I spoil the quality completely by singing along, unfortunately!

Got to be Shakin Stevens. Whats not to like?! I remember it from my early teenage years. It holds many happy memories. It's silly and jolly and for me that's how I like to do Christmas. Like Wham too, I remember that clearly the year it came out and it holds a LOT of girlhood memories.

Gah yeah, Eartha Kitt all the way!

I do love classical music, it is just not something I listen too all that often, although I probably should as my singing teacher wants me to try singing classical songs, she thinks I'd be good at them. The Salvation Army were out in town yesterday and it was great to hear them play - made me feel very Christmassy and nothing beats a good choir.

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas! The recent cover by a Great Big World

Well I went to Kings and carried candles and did readings at the big services so that I could get in to listen! My favourite was always the Advent service, I love the Advent carols, but the 9 lesson & carols is cool too.

O Jane you are so young - lots of men in our family went there. I like Joseph dearest, Joseph Mine but it isnt on their discs? My father used to sing an Edwardian song about Welcoming Father Christmas at every old year's end. I loved that.
