On an island
Just got back from Father Trews 86th birthday visit and have come home with the following;
Two large bottles of beer
Two bottles of washing up liquid
Four empty biscuit tins

Brilliant! The tins are to mouse-proof some items here in the kitchen - the beer I shall drink:yellowcarded: and of course the washing up liquid OH will use:giggle::giggle:
It was good to see them, but does anybody else visit parents and come away with an odd assortment of gear?!lol
On the downside Moma Trews thought Stormy looked stiff:frown: She hasn't seen her for a while so I showed her a small video. I guess she remembers her from her springy years....................:unsure:

Yes I went home a couple of weeks ago and came back on the train with a courgette, a bottle of elderberry vodka and a 1997 Horse magazine I didn't have on the train on the way there!

She also keeps bringing stuff down when they visit, out my room which I haven't seen for ten years and don't really want it in my own house but don't really want to bin it either.. :giggle:

Think you got the better deal with the beer!

Ah - now in the first 5 years of me leaving home, every time I went back there was a pile of stuff waiting for me, gubbins from my old room! It all ended up in the garage.....:giggle:

I had to get all my stuff out quick when I left home. My mum just bins everything or gives it to the scouts etc.

I had a whole cup board full of horse books once and she gave them away:frown::cry:

She likes tidy, if anything is not used for 6 months too a year she gets rid of it:eek:

Lol, the opposite of mine then, I swear she has an attic full of stuff like kettles that just might be needed one day.......................:giggle:

My mum hasnt bothered for years but just recently has gone a bit mad ebaying stuff, and if its not sellable its getting moved on!:yellowcarded: I did have to remind her that it would be nice if she checked on a couple of things before I saw them on ebay.. :giggle:
