As a few people on here were stopping/thinking of stopping I thought I'd do a wee Diary. Mostly for my own benefit so hopefully it will inspire me to keep it up!

I am on day 5 today  using mini tablets to stop any deaths as a result of my stopping.

My sense of smell seems to have returned as I nearly gagged last night when I got into the car and realised I hadn't binned the coke can I'd been using as an ashtray last week *bokes* It is now binned and car smelt a little better this morning. Will be giving it a clean at the weekend.....by clean I mean a wipe down and a spray/bottle of fabreze! :bounce:

Good luck Liz. Have you had any crazy dreams yet? When i used the tablets i had some mad dreams until i came off them. What are you doing with the money you save?

Ohh not noticed a difference in dreams...butt hen my happy day pills have serotonin in them so my dreams are always interesting!!!

I'm not sure I'll save much as smoke rollies and parents go on holiday a fair bit and bring me back duty free tobacco in payment for looking after cats, green house and garden etc. Papers and filters only cost me about £3 a week :giggle:

Oh must remember to tell parents not to bring me more back when they go away next month!! That is what happened last time I thought about stopping back in June I got a whole pack of tobacco which I just had to smoke...it finished 2 weeks ago so time to try again.

Well done! I quit just over 4 years ago and although I gained a bit of weight I can't seem to shift, it was the best thing I ever did. :) With all the tax the government keeps putting on cigarettes here in NZ, I'd be completely broke if I still smoked!

Ohhh see the weight gain bothers me...I know its vain but I just lost a load of weight about a year or so ago and was doing well keeping it off don't want to go back up as will have no clothes lol!!

Thanks Jane

It was hard this morning as went into the shop for juice and its the first time I've had money in my hand in front of a big display of cigs and tobacco...but I didn't buy any

You can do it!!! It is weird though at first. I only let my secret stash of duty free's go a while back and I've been stopped 6 years this Christmas Eve Eve!lol. I do have an emergency pack (I've said this before) just in case they sound the four minute warning. Having said that, it would make me sick - I hate them now and I cannot really imagine enjoying them. I walked past somebody in the street the other day and it was a horrid smell - OH and I both gagged!!! (He's been stopped almost 10 years).

I only had enough mini tablets for half a day this morning so I popped into Tesco and bought some nicorette chewing gum...but i did look at the cigs :redcarded:

Had a cig this morning :banghead::stomp: back on the chewing gum now I'm at work. Anyone got any will power I can borrow???

I am sending you some of my spare will power! Did the cig taste horrid?????? Don't worry about it, move on and think about how well you are GOING TO DO in the future!
