So after 5 long weeks up to her elbows in mud I can spend this afternoon, demudding her, pampering her, giving her a really good groom and some tlc. Not to mention sorting out her feet/teeth and all the other things that I have had to leave for the time being. She has pulled off 3 out of 4 shoes!

So SO relieved.

No she had it. She tested positive for it very early on. There was a small access on her neck which they drew blood/pus from and tested. And that confirmed strangles. So she arrived with it and infected Oscar.

The abcess had been seen but was not viewed as anything to worry about until Oscar came down with strangles.
