Poor Vanuatu got the absolute brunt of Pam. I was watching it descend down on the top of the North Island, where I am, all day yesterday on this site: http://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wind/surface/level/orthographic=176.46,-38.21,1226

But it veered further east than we thought. It was very wet and windy last night, but not too much damage. No reports from YO of any horses that freaked out etc. Rain has cleared now and wind is dying down. Hope it doesn't hit the Chatham Islands too badly, although it is losing steam now.
