hi - i am taking riding lessons again at a new place. I have a nice instructor who moves me along pretty fast and is really helping me with some of the technical aspects of riding. He has me cantering and learning. I am a bit nervous... of course... but happy to be learning and growing!

Cpngratulations! I've started on three separate occasions: once at University; then again in my early thirties; now in forties and my second year of regular riding. It's been interesting starting all over again: some things you remember, others you (and your body) don't.
The idea of 'learning to ride' doesn't make sense to me: you never stop learning how to ride, in my experience.

Totally agree. I’ve been re-learning for 2 years and very much view myself as a novice, especially as I have only ridden a few horses and not anything ‘hot’. My RI who has been riding 30+ years says she’s still learning. It’s such fun though, glad you are enjoying it.
I've been learning all the time I have been riding, and especially since I got Ziggy. It never stops!
