Martingale with a micklem?!

just wondering if you can use a running martingale with a micklem bridle? A friend is borrowing one of my Micklem's and neither of us have used a RM with one. Can it be done?

I'm sure it can as it's not like a standing martingale that attatches to the bridle itself.

hi are you just using the side pull or one of the attachments, they seem to add to length of reins ? especially the cross under my martingale doesn't seem to work well with that set up ??
