The lambs are now 6 weeks old and doing well. The three bottle fed lambs are down to 2 bottles a day and next week I will drop to one bottle. There is another wee one who gets a top up bottle as he was a very small twin and was very weak, he is thriving but growing horns:eek:! Mine aren't supposed to grow horns lol
Here is a couple of videos for anyone interested

How are the woollers now?
Oh they are getting really big now, the bottle fed ones got there last bottle feed on Saturday and are doing well just eating grass and meal now. I have moved all of them, ewes and lambs over across the road so they have a lot more grass and an old stable to run in and out of. I will see if I can get any pics. A friend and myself sheared all the mums a few weeks back , I think they where glad to get rid of their fleeces.

My they are big. I wish mine grew that quick. But that's what I get for a slow maturing breed.
One of my lambs mysteriously disappeared at the weekend. It was one of pheumonia's twins. So only about 10 days old. I've been round all the field about 4 times and can't find anything. I did see the fox walking through them last week in broad daylight and screamed at him, so I am seriously wondering if the fox has grabbed it. It's the first lamb that I have every had just disappear.

Thanks @Trewsers :D
@chunky monkey sorry to hear about your lamb, especially as it was Miss pneumonia's its awful to lose any lamb but when its one you have put a bit of extra care into making sure it arrived well makes it kinda worse.I have a fox but the ewes just ignore him and he ignores them. I don't put the ewes and lambs out at night until they are a few weeks old , just in case, although this year they where in even bloomin longer cause of the weather.. My ewes are big though and i think they would chase him off.

They are looking well @joellie :)

If you have had temps like we have they will definitely appreciate losing all that wool. I sheared Tigger in a fashion but 90% came off and he is much better for it. Feeling very sorry for all the other woolers round here at mo as they are hot and bothered bless them.

@chunky monkey sorry to hear you lost one. We had one just disappear last year,I hunted high and low it's the not knowing exactly what happened. We assumed fox as well. Glad the rest are all doing well :)
