So Angel jumped a five bar gate today (well, the fence next to it, which is the same height.) I came to hack her out at lunchtime to find her smugly grazing in the field next to her own, which is full of lush green grass. I had one of those moments when you're like 'what are YOU doing here?!' I found the tracks next to the fence where she'd landed. It seems that she'd got annoyed when the other mares came in without her and jumped into the next field - but decided to stay there instead of making her way onto the yard!

I'm amazed she's so scopey and a bit impressed tbh - but also not at all keen for this to become a habit. She was totally fine and wearing her rug which didn't have so much as a rip in it, but jumping 4 foot plus of wire fencing really isn't ideal!

yes seen Dolly clear the 4ft electric not a bother on her......I doubt very much tacked up and with my lumpy old body on her she would repeat the impressive performance. ;)

I see the local deer pop over bigger fences from a standstill all the time. Just makes me laugh that Angel pretends to be daunted by 60cm fences! She's blown that ruse wide open now!

Oh gosh bet that gave you a surprise! Never had one jump myself but seen a few, they can grow wings when they want to.
