Sweetitch

I wouldn't rule out lice entirely because your others show no signs. I keep my horse with my two donkeys and one of the donkeys gets lice every single year without fail, and quite badly too. neither Dolly nor Bertie ever seem to get them from Joseph. Mind you because I know he is susceptible I always watch like a hawk for the first sign on him and never, ever use his brushes/rugs or anything on the other two all year round.
Do you use lice powder gold tin? If I dectomax to cover neck thread worm that should also kill lice??

I didn't sleep last night N lost my appetite today this is worrying. Rug wouldn't arrive until Thursday so been and bought best I could in mean time. Vet says sweetitch. And pony looks so fed up. Think I'm starting to obsess over it?

Has the vet been out to look at the pony? I'm really surprised he has managed all summer without a hint then suddenly been effected so badly. Unfortunately the loss of sleep worrying over these things kind of comes with the territory of owning horses, but try not to stress yourself out too much, look for the silver lining and put one foot in front of the other and repeat :)
