What's Your Weather

We have had everything, Monday was wind and rain, Tuesday was RAIN RAIN RAIN. Can't remember Wednesday, Thursday was very nice and warm, Today looks promising.
Monday was hysterical. I was asked to go and be a guinea pig for the 4 star Kayak instructor and examiner's day. They needed "challenging" conditions so it happened that the Voe not far from me had bumpy enough water. :D :D Anyway one of the rescues took longer that anticipated which meant one guy was in the water bouncing about for a long time. The boys from the Shore base at the Mussel Farm were keeping an eye and eventually sent out a boat just to make sure we were actually OK and not all in trouble, it was very kind of them. Though he did leave telling us he thought we were all off our heads! :D :D

Yesterday in the shade did end up being cool enough to get
6 atv trailer loads of mulch done by the stone wall:)
It was hot in the sun.
Today is gloomy and heavy rain coming that will run off and on til tomorrow.

I was pleased to make this much progress yesterday and then when the stone was mulched it hit me woo hoo how nice would 2 horseheads look THERE!;):D:)

I called the place I got them from and just a few hrs later and they had gotten
my 2 in :):):):):)
That area was much hotter later on but I got them out!!

There is a LONG Way to keep going but slowly but surely
it will get done as its cool enough;)

Its actually working good to keep continuous running rolls of
weed block

We have bad weather forecast for the weekend.
The fair has packed up and gone.

I came home from town to three soggy cross horses. Chloe had fetched herself in but was still damp. Storm and Zi were in their paddocks so were stood looking like charity cases waiting for me. Whoops. Am still not forgiven, both are giving me black looks even tho I've given them a nice pile of hay......

Tomorrow is supposed to be crummy.
So far todays rain has gone north and south of us
but its very threatening looking.

Sunday is supposed to be awesome out.:D
So our play day should be great and just saw in a
Little local paper I picked up at the grocery store this am--
The Hermans Royal Lipizzan Stallions will be
a fancy Gigantic Victorian estate that now hosts
wedding etc for the next 3 days.

Woo hoo never heard of the place but its only 17
miles from here!!!
I will get there to see them:)

Finally something really great and horsey in my
comfort driving zone!!!;)

AND TO THINK if I had not run out of coffee mate
and had to run out to a grocery store
early this am
I may never have known....
or if the tag line on the calendar page had not been STALLIONS
I might have read right past it:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ours have natural shelter and surprising the hills do offer shelter from the winds.

Too true. We used to have dry stone walls which sort of helped a bit. There aren't many of those up here.
My neighbour who keeps shetties in her field has made a sort of hump for them to hide behind, well, she got the builders to make it. It works as they appear unconcerned in mosr weather and hunker down behind it.

Blustery I think they call it. When you have wind but you don't know where from and it changes.
Rode out with company and she was fine. Bit of jig jog because they were shooting, so much improvement.

Mixed bag here again, sunny and bright now which is nice. My little herd are happy today as they've moved into the foggage paddocks - the ground felt very soggy early this morning though. I am still hoping we're going to get a nice dry patch as I have sooo many outdoor jobs to do before winter which require a dry spell.

Just pure pants!!!

I'm sending dry vibes too..

OMG the rain that missed us the other day I will gladly go out at 330 am
to start watering rather than have that!!!

The cape got 4-8 inches in just a few hours.
A car was parked at a real parking lot near a restraint when the sand dune gave way and the car in the parking lot fell in.

These photos I took of the tv news you can see fencing of the parking lot.....
Gosh who would think you would go to eat and loose your car like that..:eek::eek::eek:
