What have you all got planned?

I planned to enjoy the lovely weather, frequently hose the horses off, maybe a BBQ on Sunday and potter round at the old and new field getting chores done at a very leisurely pace, but I just saw the forecast, thunderstorms and rain for all 3 days....bloody typical, its because its a bank holiday weekend!

Saturday driving down to Hounslow to visit my daughter for the day. My granddaughter is 9 on Sunday.

Sunday morn we are using the trailer for the first time to transport Albi for Jill to an indoor SJ comp..... two firsts for Albs there....indoor school and proper jumpies!

Sunday pm I plan to start Gracie's fat-busting regime :p

Monday morning work :(

Monday pm more fat-busting!!!

I've got nothing planned apart from a trip to the feed place, hubby is not impressed he's got to come with me (still can't carry anything heavy). Our forecast has changed, was supposed to be raining all weekend but it doesn't start until Sunday now, so will most likely hack again tomorrow and have a lazy day on Sunday.

Well summer has arrived on Orkney lol it never usually gets this warm! Not sure if it will last but either way, we'll be spending lots of time outdoors. OH will of course hopefully ride Zi. He's also got some more fencing to do, all the wood arrived the other day, so no excuses! I'd like some gardening time, as I've still some things to plant andalso some seeds to sow. Poppies!!
Having a barbie for lunch today on the magic carpet on the front lawn. Hehehe one of the bonus points about working from home, very lucky. Though he's working Monday and part of Sunday. Hope everyone has good weather and no nasty storms!!!

Going to jump a little course on my share tomorrow morning then a loong bike ride of around 5 hours hopefully, weather dependent!

Sunday morning a hack and then not really sure, probably housework!

Today I will bath B and then do some schooling
Saturday a hack and the plaiting and prep
Sunday we are going showing to try and qualify for the TSR champs.
Monday another hack or a day off depending on how hot it is.

Well its far to hot here today to ride, I don't know about anyone else but I always feel too guilty to ride in very hot weather. I just feel drained in the heat and think how a horse must feel with the added weight of saddle and me (not that I am that heavy lol ) to haul about. If it cools down this evening I may ride then but my field is like concrete so I may just wait until after the the thunder storms have been tomorrow. I am going to move my sheep across the road to a nice bit of grazing with a lot more shade and a wee house for them to run in and out of to get out of the sun or thunder showers , I will get everything set up tomorrow and move them across on Sunday. They love getting to a new place, they have a good nosy around, then get all playful lol I haven't decided what I will do on Monday yet?

Well slight change of plan. Looks like I'll be grooming for OH on Sunday morning. He's doing a desensitising class at the RC and then a beach hack. Should be fun and interesting really to see how Zi copes with leaving his new herd - it's only been a week but nows as good a time as any.

Well. Currently loving this weather!! Going to spend a few hours with sox shortly :) And need to do some work however hopefully that will be in the garden!! Tomorrow. The fencing that is taller then me is going up ( So it makes the fencing easier to move and so there can be a corridor for YO to get his tracker down and the livery at the back to get her horses out. Might do some ragwort picking depending on the time. Tomorrow afternoon chilling in the garden and doing some work ( again). Saturday night, nothing possibly seeing friends. Sunday and Monday = work sadly.

Contemplating my first funride on Sunday with Billy. Its a fab funride with loads of long canter stretches. I've done it several times with chunky.
Ive just seen some of the jumps posted on Facebook for the course and the logs look inviting. Nice and low. However I'm not sure I'm ready to have my arms yanked out of there sockets and I'm not sure Billy's ready, we've only done a few low poles not logs.

Your lanes look trimmed. Our hedgerows are taking over. It's like a jungle in places.

image.jpeg Bah! Our day got cancelled! Never mind, we got Zi's new boots fitted and will play about practising getting them on and off. The venue changed and the weather also changed. On the upside, we've planned a hack to the beach later this week.:) with our friend and her horse. Should be good and I can walk and take pics:D
New boots!!

Watched high class polo - sunny in the morning. Afternoon in the rain but three of the best players in the world. So a treat.
