What kind of bridle do you have?

Carthorse I respect your knowledge but you have misread my post. What I have revealed I dont know.
It so happens that the nicest horses I have ridden have been my teachers' horses and with lovely tack. So I was pondering how could I know whether it was the horse or the tack that I liked?
I don't need a new riding school. I am spoiled rotten - (they still have clients in their 80s) and currently have two lovely horses to hack and to groom. One of whom is an RS horse in RS tack. It could be that I wrote the post badly, or should not put my musings on line. Or you felt I was criticising you which was not the case.
I cannot imagine why the tack experience of an elderly Londoner much attached to a succession of RS horses should upset you both. Nor lead you to criticise my riding. So I assume I wrote badly.
The bridle in which I rode Grace yesterday had no markings. Her saddle is an Albion GP.

well lol i bought a lovely £80 prolite girth for Briea - which was so bleddy inflexible it rubbed her. Replaced it with

£24, goes in the washing machine. cheap as chips. what a shame i dont have nice ponies :(

I know what you mean about the Prolite, it was just to rigid and bulky for Raf. I should have known, because I've tried nice leather girths before with the same result. I too found that fleece or sheepskin backed 'material' girths suit Raf best. They all have such individual tastes!

Mine hates fleece. :) Just tolerant of wool.

She gets on well with her leather one, but the one that fitted the best isn't made anymore. It was air filled.

Yes, I remember Tilly hates sheepskin (I think @Jane&Ziggy 's Ziggy does too). It's sheepskin/wool all the way with Raf - I recently tried a normal quilted numnah but he got little raised bumps on his back, so I've had to go back to his wool lined one (and that is underneath his sheepskin half pad).

Do make sure you enjoy your Christ pad. Had to sell mine. :D

I've just ordered Amber a GFS Pro bridle. Arriving tomorrow. Hope she likes it! I have had 2 GFS saddles and think they are really nice.

Mine has a frank baines saddle and frank baines bridles and I also have a lemetex bridle I used quite regularly, the girls have treadstone bridles. I dont like imported saddles apart from European ones but bridles I'm not as fussy with. I do like frank baines tack though but as long as the tack I use is well made and fits well with good stitching I'm happy:D. x

Toby has a Stubben and a Jeffries bridle. Love both. Excellent quality and not total budget busters. Kezzie has a non branded cheapo bridle I bought when he was a youngster and it's probably the nicest bridle I have! Super soft leather and lasted us 10 years so far. I'd love a fairfax but think hubby would divorce me if I bought one for each of my horses.

I have a beta biothane one I made myself. I had leather bridles for years (mostly cheapy ones) but I much prefer my beta ones, so much easier to clean and aren't stiff (plus they come in lovely colours :D although mine is tan).

No_Angel do you still make items for sale? I bought some lovely reins from you a few years ago, but now have a new horse and need some shorter ones.

I'm really glad you like your reins, unfortunately I don't make tack any more. If they are the grippy ones the material is called supergrip if you want to find anymore :)

A £20 Windsor bridle from eBay at the minute but at some point I want to change it for something nicer.
