Might be hard to tell from the pics but how do you think my horse's hooves look?
I'll be getting them trimmed soon.
Are those rings normal?

Rings indicate a change in the gut, different food, upset tummy, a metabolic change etc. Ideally you don't want to see them, just a nice smooth hoof wall, but as long as they're subtle and they are parallel to one another it's not anything to panic about.
 
Here's one from the side also. I know these probably aren't taken correctly to really do a critique though

For really good critique pictures they need to be dead side on at the level of the hoof (not aiming down), dead straight from the front and dead straight from below, but probably best to get your farriers opinion 'in the flesh' so to speak :) Flare is when the hoof wall isn't dead straight (if you put a ruler against it, it should be flush all the way down) when there is flare it kicks out at the bottom giving a gap between the hoof wall and ruler part way down.
