Hi, I'm thinking of trying a pair and was wondering how high do they come up the hoof? From your pictures it looks like they come pretty close to the hair line.My new scoot boots arrived today. I only tried them on tonight for size. I really like the look and feel of them. They are very light weight. I got a size 6 for the backs and size 7 for the fronts. They are a bit snug but he is due a trim next week so I really wouldn't want the next size up as i think they maybe too loose after a trim?? I am going to take him for a hack in the morning with them on to see how he goes in them, he has never worn boots on his hinds before, he kept lifting his feet up high when i first put them on him but then he eventually started to walk normally again lol I will hopefully get some pics and give an update on how he goes in them tomorrow.
Hi, they don't come up as far as they look in the photo. They grip the hoof wall below the coronet band.Hi, I'm thinking of trying a pair and was wondering how high do they come up the hoof? From your pictures it looks like they come pretty close to the hair line.
Good morning,
Can I take you back to your review of the Scoot boots please. I am just waiting for some shells to arrive and want to see how you have faired with them as you gave a good review and have had then a while. For me this is a change of boot, from old Macs, which have done very well, but they are worn so new ones needed. How did you find the size chart in relation to the actual measurements of the hoof? I have scoot boots recommendation on size, but practical use and feedback from users is always a bonus. Hope you don't mind me picking you brain.
Thank youHi, I am now on my second pair and I still love them. Think they are fab, his first pair started to crack slightly underneath as we do lots of road hacks, so I decided it was time to replace them plus I had seen the new neon green ones and just wanted them. I went by the measurements on their site and they fitted fine. They have made some improvements from the first pair I bought as they were just relatively new to the market when I first purchased them The second pair I bought recently now comes with gaiters to prevent rubbing although my first pair never rubbed him, they also come with spare straps and fittings. I would still recommend them as they are so easy to put on and take off and they have never ever flew off while cantering etc which is what happened with my old trail boots.
