I am looking to get Toffee a new saddle cloth as his are looking a bit tired and worn. I have decided to get an embroidered, personalised one but can't decide on colour. I thought I might try and get a matchy fly veil for the summer too as they work wonders for him when the flies are bad but I just can't think what colours would look nice on him.

I quite like the bright blue/turquoise colour that his head collar is but just looking for other colour ideas. I currently have a red and a black one which look ok on him. I don't mind getting another red and black but just thought I'd ask people's opinions on colour as I know some colours suit some horses better than others. Certain colours look great on greys but not on bays etc.

In the summer when his summer coat is fully through, the darker patches on him, go chestnut roan-ish and stand out a lot more than when he is clipped so he's like coloured but roan. He's an odd colouring haha

I find a white fly veil is cooler and if she flicks it off, I can find it.
But we also have a black one, my bridle is black and white.

I'm rubbish with colours so no help but just wanted to say I love his colouring. Such a handsome dude :)

Thank you so much, it was one of the reasons I fell in love with him despite him being a bit small for me!

I wonder about tan / bright tan / dark cream?

Oh thanks, I like that idea, I'm going to find some examples! x

I think with his colouring you can go with any colour you like :D apart from maybe some pastels but other than that anything :)

He'd look good in anything. I'm a fan of navy always look good and smart. Navy with a red trim would look good. What about green, not bright green but a darker shade? I know you've got red already but what about burgundy?
