so sorry to hear, horrible shock for you. my dad is in his 80s and frail...i know how you feel, you never ask the questions you wanted to while they are here and then you wish you had.
I just wanted to say thankyou all so much for your kind words,it has been lovely to read and feel all the support ,admittedley *sp* I have cried all the way through reading them but I am so glad I am a member of NR,it;s somehow easier to type than talk at the moment.
Thankyou again
I'm sorry to read of your loss, too. It is a comfort to be able to share your grief here but I'm glad you also have your family around you for the proper hugs.
so sorry for your loss thinking of you and your family, i lost my dad in 2006 so suddenly was one of the hardest things iv been thru. still miss him badly, but i remember the good times etc xxx
How dreadfully sad for you and your family. my thoughts are with you. My dad helped me with the animals every day, he used to bring a saucepan of cooked peelings, porridge oats and left overs for the chickens at 10 am. 20 chickens would stand along the main road waiting for his car and 'scream' when they saw him. I don't know how he got in without one getting run over. The donkeys would all line up too and suffer a hard pat in exchange for a carrot, worth it though. He died suddenly in 2007, it took the chickens months to give up waiting for their treat......... aaah, memories, I could go on and. You too must have so many precious memories of your dad. The harsh pain dulls after a while but the treasured times will stay forever. XXXXX

So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost both my Mum and Dad in the space of
18 Months, my Dad last year, so I know how you must be feeling.
Gradually the hurt and disbelief fades and the happier memories come through and make you smile
Thoughts are with you and your Family. x There is a site you can go on to light a candle for your Dad, somehow that helped me. http://www.lightacandle.co.uk/view-7274.html, hope it may help you too. x
