Our stables are arranged around a cobbled yard and schooling menage in magnificent Victorian farm buildings situated on a private estate in the beautiful Winster Valley overlooking Whitbarrow, Scar and the Kent Estuary.

From Newby bridge travel approx. 4 miles along the A590 to the roundabout then approx. 1 mile after the roundabout take the left turn signposted to Whitherslack and Halecat Nurseries. Witherslack E.C. is 2 miles from the junction. From the M6, junction 36 take the A590 to Kendal, after approx. 2 miles take the slip road to Barrow in Furness. After approx. 3 miles take the right hand turn signposted to Witherslack and Halecat Nurseries. Witherslack E. C.` is 2 miles from the junction.

We offer bed and breakfast, riding holidays for adults and children, livery, side saddle lessons, excellent hacking in a quiet valley with superb views of South Lakeland. Day rides and trail rides are available throughout the year. A full holiday list for the year is available on request and on the web site.
